Over 30 years of experience in commercial photography
Over the past 30 years I have worked with ad agencies and corporations around the world creating images for corporate branding and new products. If there is one thing that I have learned over the years is that professional photography has always been & will always be in a state of flux. When digital images took over film I enjoyed learning new technology. Ai reminds me of that revolution and I am inspired yet again to adapt to new technology. Learning new techniques is vital for creative artists and photographers who want to be successful. The Ai Darkroom door is always open for creative photographers so come on in and lets learn together.

Thanks for asking, we launched Ai Darkroom as a prompt library hub created specifically for pro photographers & creatives. Like the classic film darkroom where artists would hang out and learn from one another we hope Ai Darkroom can be a place to share creativity and inspire photographers to use cutting edge creative Ai prompts.
What is our view on copyright and image ownership with AI generated photos?
One of the hopes in starting Ai Darkroom is that we encourage creativity to come from the artist rather than the machine. Ai Darkroom hopes to teach artists to use techniques that inspire them to start with inputting their own images as a foundation for their creations. Using a workflow that has a foundation that begins with the photographer we hope that artists can use AI simply as a creative tool to enhance their vision.
What about networking and sponsorship ?
The Ai Darkroom door is always open to collaborating with new artists and corporate sponsors. Our vision is to have a place where photographers at any level can learn and be creative in a positive environment.
Do we help with text prompt engineering?
Yes, hopefully photographers who network with us at our FaceBook / Meta group Ai Darkroom will share the most current tips on Ai input text that generates the best results. Coming from a 40 year career in commercial photography many of the prompts included in the library tend to focus on the advertising photography that we offer.
Do we use other Ai tools outside of MidJourney, ChatGPT and Nano Banana Pro?
Yes, as photographers we are seeing the growth of Ai tools in Photoshop & in programs like the Topaz Ai photo app that are simply amazing. Popular Ai art generators are: MidJourney, Dall~e, Firefly, Leonardo, Stable Diffusion, Canva & Nana Banana Pro. Ai is here to stay and our vision is to help photographers use Ai as just another tool that enhances their creative process. Helping photographers use the talents that they mastered over the years in learning their craft is vital to the successful integration of Ai technology.
What's the pricing all about?
Being a commercial photographer I have worked with corporations and ad agencies around the world and that’s how I support my family. The Ai Darkroom prompt library is free of charge but being a commercial photographer I offer an all in one studio shoot with Ai prompt enhancements for clients that need any custom Ai commercial images. In essence I provide the base building blocks of photography needed to create stunning images using Ai. I’ve found that if you use better images from the start you have a better final product.
