Over 30 years of experience in commercial photography
Over the past 30 years I have worked with ad agencies and corporations around the world creating images for corporate branding and new products. If there is one thing that I have learned over the years is that professional photography has always been & will always be in a state of flux. When digital images took over film enjoyed learning new technology. Ai reminds me of that revolution and I am inspired yet again to adapt to new technology. Learning new techniques is the foundation of most creative artists and photographers who strive to share their vision. The Ai Darkroom door is always open for creative photographers so come on in.

Hang out in the Ai Darkroom
Most of the local photographers know that we have been doing a same day instant slideshow at our weddings for over 19 years. What most people don’t know is that every single wedding that we show in our online galleries has only been edited on site at the wedding reception. Meaning that all the images showcased in this link have been chosen (or culled) the day of the wedding at the reception from over 2000 original images, then highlights are selected and edited in Lightroom in approximately 30 minutes at the wedding venue.

What is Ai Darkroom ?
Thanks for asking, we launched Ai Darkroom as a networking hub specifically for photographers. Like the classic film darkroom where artists would hang out and learn from one another we hope Ai Darkroom can be a place to share creativity and inspire photographers.
What is our view on copyright and image ownership with AI generated photos?
One of the hopes in starting Ai Darkroom is that we encourage creativity to come from the artist rather than the machine. Ai Darkroom hopes to teach artists to use techniques that inspire them to start with inputting their own images as a foundation for their creations. Using a workflow that has a foundation that begins with the photographer we hope that artists can use AI simply as a creative tool to enhance their vision.
What about networking and sponsorship ?
The Ai Darkroom door is always open to collaborating with new artists and corporate sponsors. Our vision is to have a place where photographers at any level can learn and be creative in a positive environment.
Do we help with text prompt engineering?
Yes, hopefully photographers who network with us at our FaceBook / Meta group Ai Darkroom will share the most current tips on Ai input text that generates the best results.
Do we use other Ai tools outside of MidJourney?
Yes, as photographers we are seeing the growth of Ai tools in Photoshop & in programs like the Topaz Ai photo app that are simply amazing. Ai is here to stay and our vision is to help photographers use AI as another tool that enhances their creative process. Helping photographers use the talents that they mastered over the years in learning their craft is vital to the successful integration of Ai technology.

Being a commercial photographer I have worked with corporations and ad agencies around the world and that’s how I support my family. The Ai Darkroom network is free of charge but I am offering 3 different packages for clients that need any custom Ai commercial images.
